Giovanni palatucci
Giovanni Palatucci was an Italian policeman who believed that it was the right thing to do to help save Jews during the Holocaust. He falsified travel documents to help Jews flee after racial laws took effect in Croatia. Along with that, he hid Jews and gave them money to help them avoid the Nazis. Because he was a policeman, it was his job to arrest and deport Jews, but instead of sending them to concentration camps, he would send them to an internment camp in southern Italy that would hide illegal foreigners. Another one of the efforts he made to hide Jews was to tip the local Jews off and destroy records in order to mess up the Nazi's plans.
